About Me:

Artist, Educator, and Principal Storyteller

I believe that photography is an act of deep listening and profound care. My practice is built on a simple foundation: being truthful, kind, and completely dedicated to preserving the real, unscripted relationships that unfold before my lens.

Trained in classical film, I hold a BA in Art History and English Literature from Syracuse University and an MA in Museum Education from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). My analytical approach to visual narratives, light, and human observation was deeply shaped by my time studying under legendary visual artist and professor Thomas Sgouras, renowned art historian Dr. Rab Hatfield, and master authors George Saunders (who penned my letter of recommendation to RISD) and Mary Karr.

This rigorous academic background deeply informs everything I do. It means I do not see a family gathering or a corporate summit as just an event to be logged; I see it through a lens attentive to composition, historical context, narrative truth, and architectural space. Whether navigating a centuries-old sanctuary or a complex modern venue, I treat your environment like a master work of art.

As a committed feminist and advocate for inclusivity, my mission is to create a welcoming, supportive space where diverse human experiences are honored and accurately celebrated.

Bringing Calming Presence to High-Stakes Milestones

I know that the production behind a monumental celebration can bring significant logistical pressure. That is why clients often share that they feel an immediate sense of calm, confidence, and peace when they step in front of my camera.

My role is to hold the structural heavy lifting behind the scenes—scouting venues, handling meticulous timeline details, and coordinating directly with your clergy and vendors. On the day of your event, my presence is warm, easygoing, and completely unobtrusive. I am there to make time slow down, ensuring that even camera-sensitive family members find themselves entirely relaxed, happy, and fully present.

When the celebration concludes, you aren't just left with an image file—you receive a masterfully curated archival legacy designed to be protected, cherished, and passed down through generations.

I have worked with the best. Make sure you follow who I adore!

I continue to expand my photography repertoire working with and learning from some supremely talented photographers, including the likes of Carolyn Fong, Roxanne Bryant, Josh Wool, Erin McGinn, Denyse Dias, Erin Cunningham, Maaike Bernstrom, Heather Robinson, Rupert Whiteley, Carol Wild, Illuminate Classes. In 2020 I partook in The Family Narrative photo retreat for professional photographers to hone my skills and increase creativity amongst a group of elite artists.
